Get up-to-date information on the Society Hill Neighborhood Plan (“Master Plan”)
Following extensive neighborhood input and expert guidance, our Society Hill Neighborhood Plan outlines design and land use and was accepted by the Planning Commission in July of 2018.
Since then we have been working with Councilmember Squilla to enact the plan into law. The two resulting zoning bills were passed by City Council in the fall of 2019 but suffered a surprise New Year’s Eve pocket veto from Mayor Kenney.
Councilmember Squilla reintroduced our bills in City Council on January 30 and we are continuing dialogue with him and the Planning Commission in order to achieve enactment in the Spring of 2020.

Timing for all of this is to be determined, with the suspension of hearings due to the coronavirus. We will keep the community updated.
