The Society Hill Open House & Garden Tour is a delightful, self-guided walking tour of a full array of private homes and gardens in one of the nation’s most historic districts. Society Hill has one of the largest inventories of 18th and 19th century architecture in the nation, beautifully contrasted by the many 20th and 21st century buildings.

Each year, the Society Hill tour offers an all-new selection of exceptional homes and gardens that range in style and decor from period to contemporary. Many people attend these tours to get ideas for their own homes and gardens. Come and get wonderful ideas for your home!

The tour is usually held on the third Sunday in May, from 1 to 5 PM, and attracts visitors from all over the tri-state area, many of whom attend year after year.
Sponsored by the Society Hill Civic Association, the tour is our only annual fundraiser with 100% of proceeds directed toward house & garden improvement and beautification programs.

*Suggestion: While we still need to maintain social distancing, why not try our NEW Online Self-Guided Walking Tour of Society Hill, a walking tour you can take alone or with a friend. It’s filled with beautiful photos and informative descriptions. Just click on this link for the tour description.
