We are a volunteer organization that works to keep our neighborhood safe, clean, and beautiful for residents and visitors alike. Your membership dollars help us enhance the quality of life in our historic district.
We are thankful to our many business members who help make our programs possible. We encourage our members to give them their patronage. By advertising in our bi-monthly Society Hill Reporter, businesses can reach nearly 5,000 readers in 3,600 households that make up Society Hill.

We work with officers of the Sixth District of the Police Department on problems relating to traffic, noise and crime. SHCA has installed and maintains 500 Franklin Lights that brighten our streets.
SHCA pays for extra sidewalk cleaning by the Center City District, weekly removal of graffiti, and Spring and Fall neighborhood clean ups.
SHCA subsidizes members for planting or pruning trees and leveling sidewalks. Our Washington Square Committee beautifies the Square.
The Zoning and Historic Preservation Committee works with residents, developers, and City officials to preserve the unique historic scale and overall character of Society Hill.
SHCA keeps us informed with a weekly Newsletter, bi-monthly Reporter and quarterly community meetings with speakers.
SHCA has made grants funding essential projects of area cultural, educational, and religious institutions.
