“Fix the Brix”
For fixing brick or concrete sidewalks in Society Hill, SHCA provides a subsidy of 40% of the cost, up to a maximum of $500 for members and $400 for non-members.
Complete the request form to begin the process.
You will need the following information to complete the form:
- A “before” photo of your problem sidewalk area.
- Cost estimate from contractor.
- A copy of the invoice, proof of payment.
- An “after” photo of the completed work.
Tree Tending
For the removal of dead street trees and replanting new ones, SHCA offers a subsidy of 50% of the cost, up to a maximum of $600 for members and a maximum of $500 for non-members. For pruning trees, SHCA provides a subsidy of 50% of the cost, up to a maximum of $400 for members and $300 for non-members. Once you have received a pruning subsidy, you must wait two years before applying again.
You will need the following information to complete the form:
- A “before” photo of your tree that needs to be removed or pruned, or the area that needs a new tree.
- Cost estimate from contractor.
- A copy of the invoice, proof of payment.
- An “after” photo of the completed work.
